Banjo Matthews built super speedway chassis from late 1970's. May have been built for Dave Marcis. Dave said that if this is his chassis it is the one he won his last NASCAR race with in 1982 at the Richmond 400. This chassis was last raced at Road Atlanta in a Busch series race in 1987 (had a Malibu body then), started 32nd and finished 14th with Stan Barrett driving. Chassis has been inspected by Jack Ingram and Andy Petree and both believe it to be an original Banjo chassis. Originally 116" wheelbase, now 110". Would make a great start on a period correct vintage NASCAR GN series build. Chassis comes with: original air-hart brakes, two original shocks per wheel, rear axles, fuel filler receptacle from rear quarter panel, Lumina roof panel plus a few other parts. Fuel cell is not available. NOT included but available: RARE original Banjo seat, new Lumina nose never mounted still has GM part #. Lumina hood, rear deck lid, rear bumper cover and lexan window. Don't miss this rare piece of NASCAR history.
